ROYALTY COMES A CROPPER Prince of Wales Laughs Good Naturedly After Spill in Steeplechase at Grassington. LONDON, England, December 4. The Prince of Wales, who rode Pet Dog in the Nomination race at the Oxford "University Bullingdon Club Point-to-Point Steeplechase, at Grassington. near Oxford, December 2, fell at the double jump, a difficult one across a narrow road. Although none the worst for his spill he took no further part in the race, motoring back to the weighing-in tent. The prince took the first fence into the road in fine style, but came a cropper at the second, his horse failing to land safely. The prince was none the worse, however, and laughed good-naturedly at his mishap.
