PROMISING WESTERN STABLE Preston Burch Has Nevada Stock Farm Horses at Benning Yearlings Good Prospects. Preston Burch, who is spending the week in New Yorlc, has the Nevada Stock Farm Stable in winter quarters at the old Donning track near Washington. Trainer Burch started out last spring with sixteen two-year-olds and the four-year-old bay gliding Cahalan in his charge. Through claims and sales he lost all but four of these. George Winglield, owner of the Nevada Stock Farm, sent trainer Burch five colts and seven fillies that had been broken at his Nevada farm. Mr. Burch prepared ml tried them recently at Benning and was much pleased with their work. Among them are brothers and sistt rs to many winners during the last year. Wong Bok is a brother to the useful plater Ambler. Main Street is a brother to Sea Tag, while Go Foin is a brother to the unbeaten Erase, which raced in the West. Among the fillies Queen Charming is a sister to King Charming, which was a recent winner at Bowie. Lady Choco is a sister to Blue Hawk, whi h showed good- form early last spring. For Keeps is a sister to Melachrino, winner of the Tijuana Futurity and considered by many the best colt shown there last winter. Lonnie Tryon brought Melachrino East for a New York campaign, but he went wrong in his training and was returned to California this fall. He is now being prepared for the Tijuana Derby.
