LEADING- AMERICAN JOCKEYS Jockey C. Lang practically clinched his hold on the riding championship of 1922 by piloting nine winners last week, while M. Fator, his most dangerous rival, was only able to add two to his total. Lang now has a lead of fifteen winning mounts over M. Fator, a big handicap for the latter to overcome in the short time remaining before the close of the years racing. While Langs brilliant horsemanship at New Orleans was the outstanding feature of last weeks saddle performances. C. Ralls was much in the limelight at Tijuana, where he rode eight winners. II. Long also did well with five victories, while E. Petzoldt and IT. Molters each roi2 four. The standing of the thirty leading jockeys -of the year, from January 1 to and including the racing of Saturday is as follows : Jockey. Jits. 1st. 2d. 3d. TJnp. P.C.L.W.
