TWO MORE VICTORIES W R Coe Stable Scores Another Double at Havana Pony Express and Mountain Las ¬ sie Win for Wyoming Turf ¬ man Sun Brae Again HAVANA Cuba February 1 The W R Coe stable again scored a double this after ¬ noon when Pony Express and Mountain Las ¬ sie won the second and third races Pony Express and Mountain Lassie won the sec ¬ ond and third races Pony Express won in easy fashion while Mountain Lassie had to be hard ridden to get up and beat Turbulent by a half length Both horses were favorites In their respective races The former wa3 ridden by J Brunner while J Callahan had the mount on Mountain Lassie In seven starts at this meeting Mountain Lassie has been outside of the money but twice winning four races and finishing second once Pony Express was making his initial start of the meeting meetingThe The first race furnished an exciting finish between Happy Moments Virulilla and Re lox which finished in the order named Viru ¬ lilla made the pace into the homestretch but in the final eighth Hppy Moments wore down the leader and outgamed him in the last strides stridesMajor Major Dorao proved an easy winner in tha j fourth race a dash of threequarters which he won by a halfdozen lengths Major Domo races under the colors of Thomas Cheek the oldest horseman on the turf Hunt had the mount and after he had gone a quarter rushed Major Domo to the front and opening up a long lead on the others raced Cratian into defeat and beat Whippoorwill by a head headSunbrae Sunbrae scored his third success cf the meeting when he won the fifth race He made all the pace and in a driving finish beat Dif ¬ ferent Eyes three parts of a length lengthPrior Prior to his departure for Kentucky Wednesday A W Hamel dispcssd of the j fouryearold American Legion to J Chao j The horse ran under the colors of his new I owner in the sixth race today Chao is a Chinese merchant living at Marianao He is the second former citizen of the Celestial empire to join the owners ranks this winter winterJ J H Moody disposed of the former good bread winner Harlock to Eddie Walsh who will ship the horse ot Porto Rico next Sat ¬ urday to race Mr Moody also sold to Mr Walsh the contract held on jockey A Yer rat The latter will also go to Porto Rico Harlock has been a most useful horsa for Mr Moody having won two races this win ¬ ter The sale of Harlock leaves Moody with ¬ out any horses of his own and he will hercr after devote his time to training horses fcr T E Mueller the Louisville business man Mr Mueller notified Mr Moody that he would be in Havana on February 19 for an extended visit Mrs Mueller will accompany him on the trip tripAmong Among the days visitors were Mr and Mrs J T Burton of Cleveland Mr anil Mrs C Hall of Washington and Mr and Mrs L M Taylor of Roanoke Va
