FATAL ACCIDENT AT ATTHE THE TIJUANA TRACK SAN DIEGO Cal March 3 The first fatality of the winter racing season occurred at the Tijuana track yesterday afternoon when jockey M Anderson was killed as a result of a bad fall that happened just as the horses in the seventh race were en ¬ tering the stretch Three horses Dark Ages Marso John and Noriield went down Jock ¬ eys W Martin on Dark Ages W Pool on Marse John and Mack Anderson on Norfield were thrown heavily heavilyAs As if by a turn of fate jockeys Martin and Pool escaped without a scratch and scam ¬ pered to their feet unaided Jockey Ander ¬ son was unable to rise He was picked up in an unconscious condition and rushed to the emergency hospital at the track Physicians made an examination and pronounced him fatally injured The unconscious rider was sent in an ambulance to a San Diego hos ¬ pital but before this was reached he died Internal injuries were the cause of death deathThe The accident was occasioned when Dark Ages Avhieh was on the inner rail crossed her legs and fell Norfield was unable to avoid Dark Ages and also went down Then came Marse John and he also fell fellJockey Jockey Anderson was riding at Tijuana for the first time this winter He had been en ¬ joying a fair measure of success and was well liked by the horsemen and officials He was engaged to ride for the stable of Clar ¬ ence Buxton and had scored victories on some of the Buxton horses as well as on others He rode in Eastern Canada last summer The deceased was 28 years of age and is survived by a widow father mother and a brother His wife was at the race course at the time of the accident He was the son of Mr and Mrs W K Anderson of Chattanooga Tenn in which city his faDier is an attorney The body probably will be sent to Chattanooga for internment I
