RACING MEASURE READY The Chicago Washington Park Club now needs but two members to complete the twentyone thai will comprise the board of directors of this organization the three latest additions being Everett Brown of Chicago Eugene Funk of Bloomington 111 and Asa Davenport of Washington 111 111Everett Everett Brovvr is a wellknown sportsman of Chicago while both Mr Funk and Mr Davenport are not only bankers and prom ¬ inent citizens of their respective communities but breeders of horses as well wellIt It is said that Ine remaining two vacancies on the board will be filled before the end of the week in fact it is expected that the ac ¬ ceptances of two other downstate men of prominence will be received in a day or so soIn In the meantime everything is progressing satisfactorily in the campaign for the founder membership of the club while it is said that the racing rneatuie to be presented to the legislature is ready and will be introduced In the near future The gentlemen who have prepared this bill are confident that it will meet the approve of all who earnestly desire to restore in Illinois the great sport of racing on a permanent and highclass plane
