BENJAMIN BLOCKS BARGAIN Phil Chinn Says Aspiration Is IsWorth Worth 50000 Trainer I ISmith Smith Considers Offers LEXINGTON Ky March 21 Aspiration the morning after his purchase by Benjamin Block for 27000 and his transfer to the stable of Jack Baker was out for a gallop over the Kentucky Association sand track He was in fine fettle and did not in the least mind the rain which fell nearly all of the morning After he had cooled out he was critically examined by Phil T Chinn who is to have the management of the colt as long as he remains in Kenturky and trainer Baker They are at one in the opinion that Morvichs owner has purchased a real horse as they expressed it As ¬ piration is worth 50000 of any mans money said Chinn This is a far belter colt than I thought him to be and 1 felt when he was knocked down that he was worth more than he brought broughtAspiration Aspiration will be pointed for the Kenr tuoky and Latonia Derbys Thus far it is too early to say that he will or will not make his first start as a threeyearold in the Blue Grass Stakes at the Kentucky Associa ¬ tion track but he is eligible for that event eventJohn John 1 Smith is leaving here tonight for Baltimore to confer with an eastern owner who is seeking his services I cannot say that 1 will or will not make an engagement in the Kast said the man who thirteen years ago started with four mares costing 3000 and parlayed it into a string of horses that brought nearly 15G000 after having sold a few and won races enough to make this goodly sum velvet for his late employers estate without having ever raced a horse except what they bred 1 have come to like the Blue Grass country he continued and would like to remain here It may be that I will accept one of several offers 1 have had to remain in Ktntucky
