LAST DAY AT HAVANA Oriental Park Meeting Comes To End Today Saturdays Racing Interesting Stonewall Beats Col Chile Easy for American Eagle HAVAXA Cuba March 21 With only one more day cf the present meeting remaining a big crowd was on hand at Oriental Park to witness Saturdays program programStonewall Stonewall scored the second successive vic ¬ tory for S Miodow when he won the fourth race today The conditions for this contest called for a dash of threequarters the distance which heretofore had been consider ¬ ably too short for Stonewall The latter rid ¬ den by Seheffel came from last place at the finish and won going away by little over a length from the favorite Col Chile Stone ¬ wall was claimed a couple of weeks ago by his present owner and has improved won ¬ derfully since changing trainers Cuba En canto was the one to make the pace and led to the stretch turn where Col Chile moved up on the outside Jjut while making the turn wont wide Tnd Stonewall slipped through next to the inside rail railMemphis Memphis made a runaway affair of the third race Walls who had the mount took him over to the inside rail soon after the start and saved ground for the remainder of the way and in a driving finish beat San Diego by half a length lengthSHINGLE SHINGLE SHACK GRADUATES GRADUATESShingle Shingle Shack which races under the col ¬ ors of his Xew York trainer I Garson stag ¬ gered home in front of a band of nonwin ¬ ners at this meeting when he beat After Might by a head in the fifth race The winner went to the front after being straight ¬ ened on the backstretch and shook off Jose ¬ phine K rounding the far turn At the end he was driven to the limit to outlast After Night NightAmerican American Eagle outclassed the others in the opening dash fcr which he was a 1 to 2 favorite Taylor sent him to the front after he had gone a quarter and the remainder of the contest kept increasing his advantage until he had seven lengths to spare at tlie finish ISloomington was second a length in front of Smite E II Hills Canso refused to start when the barrier was sprung so was left at the post postJockey Jockey W Taylor rode his second winner of the afternoon when he landed Charles Whitney in front in the second race The McGee colt made all the pace and had three lengths margin over Midday at the finish The latter began slowly and made up a lot of ground in the first quarter but tired when the final test came and had to be ridden out to beat Happy Moments by a length lengthMr Mr Thomas Monahan W E Sales and Vic ¬ tor Shaumburg left this morning on the
