HUNTINGTON PROSPECTUS Expect Ten Starters for West Vir ¬ ginia Derby Calcutta Among the Probable Contenders HUXTIXGTOX W Va March 24 Al ¬ though stake nominations do not close until April 12 each mail brings entries to the West Virginia Derby and the TriState Handicap the two big events to be decided at the Fair Grounds here this spring Manager Peck announces that he expects a field of at least ten starters in the Derby while he figures that at least twelve will compete in the handicap handicapG G R Allen the owner of Calcutta which finished second in the Louisiana Derby to Amole has been nominated for the West Vir ¬ ginia Derby and will be shipped here in a few days Owner Allen will ship two other horses along with his Derby candidate candidateSam Sam Jones and W M Cain are shipping the largest strings here Each will be rep ¬ resented by ten horses Those that Jones will ship here at the conclusion of the Mobile meeting are Sir Lawnfal Money Magician Jacobean Hello Pardner Tokalon March Loe Enfield and Runleigh Cain will be repre ¬ sented by Tan Son Lively Harry B Top ¬ mast Golden Floss Brown Bill Jacobina Sea Mint British Liner and Plantoon PlantoonT T F Bornman has wired for stable room for four horses He will be represented in the Derby by Kent L and is also shipping Pini lico and the juveniles Miretta and Joe Gattig GattigMilton Milton Reiser has arrived with five horses The star of his aggregation is Blarney Stone winner at Xew Orleans during the last winter Consolation Queen Esther and Aji arc also here and he is expecting a twoyearold to be shipped from Louisville in a few days daysJ J McKeon has decided to make a try for the Derby with Stone Age He also has six other horses in his stable Bradleys Choice Col Taylor Richelieu Fred Kinney Adven ¬ ture and Vienesse will carry his colors during the meeting meetingL L A Seregni is expected the latter part of the week with three horses He has wired that he will bring along Deep Sinker Moun ¬ tain Rose II and Balance Wheel WheelEd Ed Kneblekamp will be here with one horsr He is going to make a try for the Derby with Tender Seth E J Crawford a so an ¬ nounces that he will be represented in the Derby by Irish Pat Others in his shipment include Pelion Dont Bother Me Consort and TingaLing
