GENERAL TURF GOSSIP E. E. Mooar notified friends today that the new grandstand at New Kensington, Pa., had been completed. The Rancocas Little Chief is near a race. He worked three-quarters in 1 :lti% at Belmont Park Tuesday. Judge F. W. Gerhardy has announced that he has restored to good standing C. W. Ross, who was disciplined at New Kensington, Pa., last fall. G. D. Wideners old gelding Lanius is in tiptop form and it will take a mighty good horse to beat him. He has shown dazzling speed in his work-outs. Judge Joseph A. Murphy, at the conclusion of the Maple Heights meeting, will go to Thorncliffe Park. Toronto, where he will serve as presiding steward. W. Daniels Blanc Seing worked a mile in 1:40%, at Jamaica Tuesday, in preparation for his engagement in the Preakness Stakes Saturday, in which he is said to be a sure starter.
