Won easily; second and third driv-ing. PATHAN gradually improved his positlcn and, coming fast through the stretch, passed HILARITY and won going away. HILARITY was under slight restraint in tho early racing and took the lead on the stretch turn, but could not withstand the winners challenge. EAST WIND raced forwardly throughout and finished gamely, but tiring. BLACK WAND raced well. PARVENU began very slowly, LADY ARGOS set a fast pace, but quit after going a half mile in the lead. Won easily; second and third driving. LUCKY ANTOINE raced under stout restraint throughout and, taking a good lead, won as his rider pltased. BRAVO moved up gamely after entering the stretch, but could not overtake the leader. DIVERSITY, off slowly, gradually worked her way up on the outside and outfinished SIR GALAHAD II. in the closing strides. The latter responded gamely when called on, but tired near the end. The latter displayed excellent speed and, setting a fast pace, saved ground on the stretch turn, but tired when challenged. BERSAGLIERE raced forwardly all the way and finished gamely. GALANTMAN slipped through next to the rail on the last turn and, coming on fast, outfinished POE. The latter displayed excellent speed and raced MARIE MAXIM into defeat in the first half mile, but tired after taking the lead. WHIRLWIND was in .close quarters for the first eighth and suffered from repeated interference. HULLABALOO was shuffled" back at the start and was unable to improve his position. SEA COVE was under restraint until in the stretch, then took the lead, but tired in the fiual sixteenth. CUM SAH set a fast pace and raced CAVEAT EMPTOR into defeat in the first five-eighths and tired. MELACHRINO raced creditably. CAVEAT EMPTOR quit in the final quarter. BEVERWYCK ran poorly.
