IN MEMORIAMS OWNER Willing to Wager 0,000 His Colt Can Beat My Own or Zev at Any Distance Over Mile. LATONLY, Ky., Oct 4 Carl Wiedemann, owner of In Memoriam, does not believe that Zev or My Own are the outstanding three-year-olds in this country and is willing to bet 0,000 that his colt can take the measure of either Zev or My Own at a distance from a mile and an eighth to two miles. Wiedemann made the announcement this afternoon of his willingness to run against either of the Eastern colts for a 0,000 side bet. He made it plain that he did not want any favoritism in weight. He wanted equal imposts to govern. The only stipulation by him was that the race must be over a fast track. "So firmly am I of the belief that In Memoriam can take the measure of either Zev or My Own, that I am anxious to bet 0,000 j on the result," said Mr. Wiedemann. "Any distance over a mile and an eighth up to two miles would be suitable. The weights are to be equal I am asking no concession for my colt in that respect. The only stipulation I would ask is that the race be run over a fast track. "I firmly believe that I have the best colt in the country, a colt that almost measures to thes tandard of Man o War." In Memoriam is a certain starter in the Kentucky Special, in which he will carry an impost of 113 pounds.
