JOCKEY ABEL NEARLY WELL LAUREL, Md., Oct. 11. Jockey Abel, who has been incapacitated by a broken leg for the past two months, has discarded his crutches and is here walking about with the aid of a cane. He hopes to be able to resume riding some time during the coming Bowie meeting.
