PAPYRUS IN FAST MOVE NEW YORK, N. Y., Oct. 11. Papyrus electrified the onlookers this morning at Belmont Park by doing an excellent trial in real race horse fashion. He surely proved that he can run fast enough to hold his own against any mans horse. His fractional time follows: Quarter, 25; half, 49: three-quarters, 1:14; seven-eighths, 1:26; mile, 1:39, and eased up a mile and an eighth in 1:54. He began from a standing start and after going .one-eighth ran the next quarter in 22. Bar Gold was started off fifty yards in front of him, but was not able to maintain his advantage for more than three-eighths of a mile.
