LAUREL TURF GOSSIP. Capt. It. E. Westmoreland purchased Lula of P. M. TBurch. Kimball Patterson has arranged to leave with his horses for Tanforan immediately following the close of the Laurel meeting. Arthur Brents plater. Picnic, was unloaded from the cars yesterday suffering from a slight attack of fever which he contracted en route from Toronto here. H. It. Dulaney came over from Upperville, Va., to witness his filly Just Me run in the first race. Mr. Dulaney bred the two good racers. My Own arid My Dear, at his place in Virginia. Mrs. It- A. Livingston is a daily visitor at Laurel. Her racing interests are confined to Canada, where she maintains . an extensive breeding establishment at Coburg, Ontario. The horses that carry her colors on Dominion tracks are being trained by Frank Regan. Dr. Henry J. McCarthy acquired by private purchase terms the three-year-old Charlton. The latter looks like an excellent steeplechase prospect and it will not be surprising to find some of the steeplechase sharps snatch him up. a
