Twenty Years Ago Today Chief Turf Events of Oct 13, 1903 Racing at Brighton Beach, Worth and St Louis. C. T. Patterson stated yescciday that he would ship the Burns and Waterhouse horses to San Francisco some time during the coming week. He intends to leave for West Baden to rest several weeks and the horses will be shipped to C. C. Pierce. The Worth Jockey Clubs program at Worth had an allowance race at three-quarters of a mile for two-year-clds as the main race, and the winner turned up in Auditor, owned by Captain S. S. Brown. Six started, with the winner and English Lad as equal favorite?, but the latter ran in the rear of the others to the stretch, where he made his move, but it fell short by about three parts of a length, Palm Header beating him home a half a length for second place. Auditor being a head before Palm Reader.
