TWO STELLAR FEATURES AT LATONIA TODAY ; , SPARKLING RACING IN PROSPECT Large and Well-Matched Field Named for Both Fort Thomas Stakes and the Autumn Handicap In Memoriam, Whiskaway, Ten-Lee, Fair Phantom, Audacious and Other Stars in Last Named Feature LATONIA, Ky., Oct. 12. Patrons will be afforded a rare treat Saturday afternoon when they will witness the running of two of the fall seasons important stake fixtures. These events are the Fort Thomas Handicap, for two-year-olds, and the Autumn Handicap, for horses of mature age. This double feature will serve to make Saturdays program a brilliant one and should bring out a banner attendance. Both of the stakes have large fields and prospects are that they will retain their full strength. The absence from the Fort Thomas of such first-rate juveniles as Wise Counsellor, Worthmore and Black Gold will in a measure detract from the drawing qualities of the stake, but there are a sufficient number of high-grade two-year-olds named to insure a contest well worth while. Among the better-class ones is Chilhowee, with top weight of 118 pounds, and in spite of his last disappointing essay the Gallaher colt will have a big following. Other ones that are expected to figure prominently are the Idle Hour Farms pair, Befuddle and Bob Cahill; J. N. Camdens Clarence; Harned Brothes and Jones Sanola and Glide; W. Perkins Earl Pool, and the Audley Farms Princess Doreen. Speed in abundance is represented in the list for the Autumn Handicap and at the weights the race appears an open aspect. Included in the list of more prominent aspirants are In Memoriam, coupled with Great Jaz as the Wiedemann entry; Ten-Lec and Audacious, which will run as the L. Viau entry; Sweetheart, Dr. Hickman, Fair Phantom, and the Madden pair. Best Love and Heremon. The unreliable Whiskaway is also among the list, having been assigned 120 pounds. FORT THOMAS HANDICAP.
