Won easily; second and third driving. JACKSON, at home in the going, showed good speed all the way and saved ground on the stretch turn and drew away to win easily from his opposition. WARREN LYNCH finished fast, but cou-ld not reach the winner. STEVENS, from a slow start, closed steadily on the outside and outlasted CARAJO in the final drive. The latter bore cut rounding the turn in the backstretch, but tired. OUR STAR tired badly in the final drive. The others were beaten off. MERCURIUS, away slowly, improved his position gradually and gaining steadily on the inside withstood a hard drive gamely and wore HENRY DATTNER down after taking the last fence. HENRY DATTNER opened up a commanding lead to the last turn of the field, but was tiring badly at the end. IRISH JIG closed a good gap with a belated rush. AUTUMN BELLS showed a good effort, but tired. GROUCH had no mishaps. FAIRWAY fell at the eleventh fence. JABBERLOCK was pulled up after taking the eighth fence. ARMENUS fell at the seventh jump. GONFALON, frcm a slow beginning, worked his way to the leaders steadily and came to the ontside in the stretch run where he wore the leaders down under a hard ride and got up in the final strides. AGA KHAN hung on with determination and outgamed SUNAYR for second place. The latter was taken on the outside on the backstretch and was hustled along to get a clear passage, then saved ground and finished next to the inner rail and tired right at the end. COCKNEY could never get up. BEAU NASH could not keep up with the leaders. RINKEY wheeled at the break and was good as left. THE PERUVIAN, close up, finished gamely and outlasted MARY MAXIM in the final drive. The latter Improved her position steadily and was gaining at the end. MABEL K. tired. WHALEBONE finished fast. DR.
