Seagram Stable Earnings for 1923 The Seagram Stable retired ,to winter quarters at the conclusion of the autumn meeting of the Ontario Jockey Club at Wppdbinc Park. A review of its activities on the turf during the racing of 1923 reveals the -fact this prominent Canadian establishment met with a poor measure of success compared to its wonderful record of 1922. Last year the Seagram Stable won 3,465 and was twelfth on the list of the leading American owners. This year the stable earnings amount to 2,295. The failure of -the Waterloo establishment is attributable to the failure of Golden Sphere, Brilliant Jester and other costly importations to race up to expectations. -There was, however, pleasing compensation for many reverses in Flowerfuls victory in the Kings Plate, the most coveted of all Canadian stake races. Flowerful was the chief winner from a monetary standpoint, while Kings Court won the most races and was second in! stable earnings.
