Won driving; second and third the 1 same. CORINTH, running well in the going and showing fine speed, took the lead at once and held it gamely through the stretch and was going fast at the end. WILMBR THE WIZARD moved up swiftly in the last quarter and was wearing the winner down. THE RUNT ran a good race and better ridden would have won. CYPEENE closed a big gap and so did PHIDIAS. FERGUSON was far back in the early racing, but gained steadily after going the first quarter and, finishing fast, passed BEN BOLT in the last twenty yards and won going away. BEN BOLT, under hard liding, showed a good order of speed in racing into the lead, but tired finally. HULLO ran well and responded gamely to hard riding. BEN AALET was close up most of the way. WINDING THROUGH set .a good pace, but tired in the stretch. REP was far back from the start SEWELL COMBS ran pcorly. GOLDEN BLLLOWS had no mishaps and raced in closest pursuit throughout. STUMP JR.. showed the most early speed and tired in the stretch. ST. The latter set the early pace and 1 was taken back under restraint to the stretch, then passed LORD GRANITE with case, but tired slightly r In the final drive. CHERRY TREE was allowed to drop too far back in the first quartpr, bat came J with a rush in the stretch when ridden liard and was going fastest at the end.
