I CHURCHILL DOWNS NOTES Jockey W. Lancet returned from Huntington and accepted mounts this afternoon. A. J. Riley is among the newcomers from New York. He brought five horses with him that will be campaigned at New Orleans during the winter. The Havana program books for the first nine days of the meeting were distributed among horsemen who intend shipping to Cuba. Jockey Ted Koerner arrived from Pimlico, where he went to ride one of the E. R. Bradley entries in the Pimlico Futurity last Saturday. J. Heupel was the first rider to incur the official displeasure. He was suspended five days for rough riding on Lady Fox in the sixth. E. R. Bradleys string, at present campaigning at Pimlico, including the Pimlico Futurity winner Beau Butler, will be shipped here next Sunday and finish out their racing season at Churchill Downs. The claimants were busy during the afternoon and two of the winners changed ownership by this method. Ferguson was secured by W. L. Drake for ,700 and Blue Stone went to W. H. Hall at a cost of ,700.
