I E. H. HANNA PASSES AWAY NEW YORK, N. Y., Jan. 8. News of the .death of Edward H. Hanna, age 62, who has officiated as a patrol judge on themetropoli-tan and Maryland tracks for the past ten I years, was received at, the Jockey Club office yesterday from Washington, D. C, where he resided. Mr. Hanna has filled various positions on the turf. Previous to becoming an official he trained the horses of Samuel Ross of Washington anl in his younger days was a leading steeplechase jockey in Canada, where he was born.
