Won driving; second and third the same. PAUL MICOU was far back for the first half, but moved up steadily in the stretch and, challenging JOU JOU in the last sixteenth, won drawing clear. JOU JOU raced forwardly from the start and appeared the winner when a sixteenth out, but tired near the end. CAPTAIN COSTIGAN closed a big gap and came with a rush right at the end. FELICITOUS tired badly in the last eighth after showing much speed and racing into a good lead. RUBY quit badly in the stretch. COLONELBAKER set a fast early pace and ran well for a half mile. GEORGETTE ran well, but tired after racing into the lead on the last turn. DUKE JOHN made a threatening rush after going three-quarters, but tired slightly in the last seventy yards. ANAPRISA came fast ia the stretch after having been outraced. ROYAL DICK tired after going well for three-quarters. HERALD shewed the most speed to the far turn and quit badly. The latter raced past the leaders cn the stretch turn and secured the lead, but tired near the end. MAH JONG ran n good race and finished fast and close up. LESTER- DOCTOR showed much speed and set a fast pace, but lost much ground when he raced wide on the stretch turn. PATHAN had no mishaps. A dense mist enveloped the starters until in the last eighth. DELANTE followed the winner closest all the way, but was in the deepest : going and finished slightly lame. BARRACUDA was hard ridden and raced forwardly all the way, but ; tired and just lasted to save third place. LADY MADCAP was going fast at the end.
