Third On List of Winning Owners One of the most successful racing establishments on the American turf last year was that of J. S. Cosden. In 1022 that Virginia turfman finished sixth on the list of winning owners with 55,11S to his credit. That was a gain of almost double over the preceding year. In 1923 Mr. Cosden was even more successful, finishing third with 97,832. It was a large and formidable band of excellent racers that carried his colors triumphantly during the past campaign. With such as Dunlin, Lord Baltimore II., Martingale, Golden Rule, Blazes, Snob II., Paul Jones racing on the flat and Dan IV., Bullseye, Musty and Faskadale over the jumps it is no wonder that the stable prospered during 1923, especially with the genial and skillful Billy Garth at the helm. Altogether it is a fine record that was made by this popular stable, the members of which and the part they played being here presented in the following tabulation. Horse. Col. and Sex. A.
