I JEFFERSON CLOSING DATE NEW ORLEANS, La., Feb. 29. In order to scotch a rumor that Jefferson Parks ad-i vertised spring meeting of eleven days would be extended because of the abandonment of the schedule at Mobile, Anthony Rouprich, general manager of the Shrewsbury course, today authorized the following announcement: "At no time did the management of Jefferson Park consider an extension of the1 spring meeting beyond March 17, the date upon which the meeting was advertised to close. "You can put it down for granted that the Jefferson Parish Fair Association always will announce its dates well in advance and then! abide by them."
