BROWN TROUT had slightly the best of the start and, showing the mcst speed, raced closely with P.ELI.K H. until in the last sixteenth, where he gradually increased his small lead and held her r,Tfe to the finish. BELLE H. ran a good and game race, but began tiring slightly in the last sixteenth. LITTLE JIMMY raced forwardly all the way, but was held on by the first two. HA1DEE tan a good race and finished gamely but tiring. McINTOSII came fast in the Btretch after closing a big gap and finished resolutely. EASTER BONNET ran well. FROTH tirtd. AKCHIK ALEXANDER was taken up sharply ana closed a big gap. ORLOVA ran poorly. VALENTIA was away badly. Scratched 77-194 Richard Murray. 09. LADY ROSE was ridden wide on the turns and tired. SIZZLE set a fast uarly pace, but tired in the stretch and suffered from interference. EDWARD GRAY, racing in much improved form, moved up with a rush from a slow beginning and, coming fast and gamely through the stretch, outstayed SYMPATHY. The latter showed the most speed to the stretch, but tired in the last sixteenth. ISOSCELES had no mishaps and finished well. LLEWELLYN also finished fast after being outrun from the start. BARLEYCORN showed the most speed to the last eighth and finished gamely, but tiring. ANNE was far back to the last turn and gained in the stretch. DESPARD ran well for three-quarters. ATTA BOY II. was done after going the first half. CHARLES J. CRAIGMH.E set a good pace to the stretch, but failed to stay the route.
