Start good and slow, on easily; second and third drtv-in , CREAM PUFF took a quick lead and. racing NAOMI G. into defeat in the early running, outgamed IRISH LACE in the final drive. The latter began slowly and raced extremely wide into the stretch, then swerved over to the inside in the last eighth, while finishing fast. APPROVAL saved ground when entering the stretch md made a fast finish. HAPPY GO LUCKY set a good pace, but tired badly in the last quarter. ALF VEZINA finished fast on the outside of the leaders. DAMAGE forced the .pace and raced WEE DEAR into defeat, but was under a hard drive to withstand MRS. GARDNERS final challenge. The latter finished with a rush on the outside.
