MILLWICK saved ground when turning for home and, slipping through a small opening closest to the inner rail, finished fast and got up to win in the last stride. BILL RUSSELL, from a slow beginning, came-around the leaders when turning for home and forged into a small lead when Hearing the end, then tired. MISSION PEAK was hard ridden and did his best. PUKLISHEIt set a good pace, but was in close quarters right at the end. EDMON was prominent to the last eighth, when he tired. MAYOR HOUSE was saved until rounding the last turn, from where he was hard ridden and, finishing fast, took the lead and came away from PAVLOWA in the final sixteenth. PAVLOWA drew upon even terms with the winner when an eighth out, but began tiring when Hearing the end. THEHESA tired after alternating in forcing and setting the pace; POOR PUSS finished fast. CLARE FRANCES was racing prominently when she dropped dead and SEVEN SEAS and USHER D., unable to avoid her, went down iu turn. Scratched 77640 Delancey, 117. Overweight Pavlowa, 2 pounds. FLYCAST finished with a rush and was a fast-going second. LADY LE KAND was capably ridden and ran well. MAY KUUEN set a fast pace anil raced head and head with C. A. COMISKEY to the last turn, where she tired and gave way. FORT CHURCHILL had no mishaps. C. A. COMISKEY quit.
