IMPOSING SANFORD STABLE Trainer Hollie Hughes to Campaign Thirty -Five Horses Fine Band of Juveniles. NEW YORK, N. Y., March 5. Some time during the present month Hollie Hughes will bring the thirty-five horses which are to be campaigned this year in the colors of the Sanford Stud Farm from Amsterdam, N. Y., to the Aqueduct course to round out their training. There are twenty-three two-year-olds in the strins and many of them are choicely bred importations from England. Ten of the others are three-year-olds, one a four-year-old and the remaining one a live-year-old. All of the horses have been exercising under saddle at the farm for some time and well along in their preliminary training. A few weeks of training over the Aqueduct course after their arrival here should bring them into prime condition for the opening of the eastern racing season. A number of the Sanford mares at the farm have foaled and one of the finest of the new arrivals is a chestnut colt by Archaic from Addie M.
