THORNDALES FAST WORK NEW ORLEANS, La., March 5. Thorndale, Benjamin Blocks Louisiana Derby candidate, had his first real work this morning in preparation for the big stake. He worked a mile and an eighth at the Fair Grounds, the fractional time being as follows: Half mile, 50 ; three-quarters, 1 :20 ; mile, 1 :454 ; mile and an eighth, 1 :T9. .Thorndale, according to those who clocked the work, was under restraint the entire distance.
