Maryland 1924 Racing Dates BALTIMORE, Md., March 5. The Maryland racing dates for 1924 were announced today. Spring racing will begin at Bowie April 1 and continue there for 11 days. Havre de Grace will then open on April 1G and hold fortn for the remainder of the month, closing April 30, after 13 days of racing. Pimlico follows, opening on May 1, and running for 11 days, closing on May 13. That will conclude the spring meetings. Autumn racing will begin at Havre September 24 and continue for 10 days, ending October 4. Laurel will, as formerly, have the greater portion of the month of October, opening on the seventh and closing November 1. From November 3 to November 15, a period of twelve days, Pimlico will be the scene of racing, while Bowie will, as usual, wind up the years campaign . with ; a 12 days meeting, beginning on November 17 and ending on November 29. : The above dates have been approved by the Maryland State.
