MOONRAKER, close up from the start, passed TUSCOLA in the first half and won under restraint. TUSCOLA ran a gocd race and. s-etting a fast early pace, made a game finish. LIEUTENANT FARRELL raced into close-up contention soon after the start and held the others safe for third place. CAIX.UTTA dropped back iu the first quarter, but was gaining at the end. Won driving; second and third the same. CALIGULA was ridden wide on the turns, thereby losing much ground, but moved up steadily in the stretch and got up to win in the final strides. KINGSCLEKE, away fact and showing the most early speed, finished gamely and only gave way in the last strides. WHALEBONE raced well and saved much ground on the turns. PAUL MICOU closed a big gap. HIDDEN JEWEL ran a good half, but tired after reaching the stretch. MELBOURNE began fast and, showing high speed in paCemaking, only tired and gave way right at the end. LEVOY raced forwardly all the way. hut tired in the stretchy THE REAPER had no misliaps. BETHLEHEM STEEL finished fast. ZANZIBAR was far back all the way. FALSE ALARM was caught in a jam and fell soon after the start. Won driving; second and third the same. DOUGHNUT was saved close up to the stretch turn, where he saved ground and, finishing resolutely, outstayed DUMBFOUNDER and won going away. The latter saved much ground on the turns and. racing well, might have won but for being taken back when ridden clcse in the stretch and had to be eased up in the last seventy yards. RUSTKM showed the most early speed, hut swerved out on the stretch turn, losing- ground. MARGARET WARE appeared sore when going to the post and raced fairly well. GONDOLIER had no mishaps. Won driving; second and third the same. KSCARPOLETTK raced fcrwardly frcm the start, took the lead on the last turn and outstayed TODY. The latter ran a good race and finished fast. RICHELIEU suffered from some interference, but ran well and finished gamely in a hard stretch drive. STUMP JR. lwgan tiring after reaching the stretch. GOOD NIGHT was badly cut off when he tried to come through next to the inner rail iu the stretch. HIGH SPEED closed a gap. THREE SQUARE set a good pace, but quit in the stretch. j.! SWAY ran a good race and, taking the lead, stcod the final drive gamely. REPEATKU set the early pace and had no mishaps and ran a game race. WESTWOOD ran well. RUNQUOI appeared sore when going to the post. MOM was away poorly and had scant chance.
