THORNCLIFFE HOME-BREDS Five Handsome Two-year-olds in the Davies String to Be Campaigned This Year. TORONTO, Ont., March 10. Five handsome home-bred two-year-olds will comprise part of the Thorncliffe Stable this pear. The brown filly, Southern Glow, by First Sight Southern Maid, and a sister to Captain Scott, is the outstanding choice. She is entered in the Belmont Park Futurity. Briar Bush, a good, upstanding colt and a brother to Thorndyke, the only Plate eligible, by Calgary Rose Lawrence, will be heard from often. Sweet Rocket, a sister of the good race mare Push Pin, is by Calgary Easter Lily, and has all the marks of being able to follow in tho footsteps of her sister. Golden Answer is another good-looking youngster by First Sight Sky Rocket. The chestnut filly, Shadow Dance, is highly thought of. She is a splendid-looking thoroughbred by First Sight Frolic. There is also a nice band of yearlings at tho Davies farm, and one which appears to stand out, is a beautiful son of First Sight and Hampton Dame. A pretty brown miss by Calgary Rose Lawrence, but a little on tho small side, should be able to show lots of speed when the time comes. A brother to Witch Flower is also a good looker. He is by Calgary Gold Bud. The following matrons have sucklings by their side: Hampton Dame and Sunduria; both foals are by First Sight.
