STEEPLECHASE BODY MEETS Sanctions Granted for Crosscountry on New York Courses. Executive Committee of National Association Also Grants Licenses to Trainers, Jockeys anil Gentleman Riders. 1 NEW YORK, N. Y., March 10. At a meeting of the executive committee of the board of stewards of the National Steeplechase and Hunt Association, held last Thursday, the following racing associations were granted sanction to give steeplechases during their meetings on the dates specified: Westchester Racing Association Spring meeting. May 22 to June 13 ; autumn meeting, September 1 to September 15. Queens County Jockey Club Summer meeting, June 14 to July 7 ; autumn meeting, September 16 to September 30. .Saratoga Association August 1 to August 30. The following appointments as stewards to represent the National Steeplechase and Hunt Association were approved : Westchester Racing Association A. Henry Higginson. Queens County Jockey Club J. E. Davis. Saratoga Association F. S. von Stade. Tho following licenses were granted: TRAINEES. Max nirseli .T. Howard T-.ewis John S. Colfortl Frank D. White Krncst O. Ileider "NV. M. Carter jr.
