ANNOUNCE PUBLICO STAKES Twelve Events to Be Decided in Eleven Days of Maryland Jockey Club Spring Meeting. . BALTIMORE, Md., March" 10. Twelve rich stake events to be decided at the spring meeting of the Maryland Jockey Club from May 1 to May 13 at Pimlico were announced today by secretary W. P. Riggs. Tho most important of these fixtures, of course, is the Preakness of 0,000 added for three-year-olds at a mile and an eighth, which shares interest with the Kentucky Derby as the most important of early stake events for this age division. The Dixie Handicap of 5,000 added is the most important of tho races for older horses. The Pimlico Oaks is a popular event for three-year-old fillies. Following is a ompleto list of stakas to be run at the spring meeting: Rennert Handicap, three-year-olds, ,000 added, six furlongs. Green Spring Valley Steeplechase Handicap, four-year-olds and upward, ,000 added, two miles. Pimlico Oaks, three-year-old fillies, ,000 added, one mile and a sixteenth.
