THORNDALE IN FAST WORK NEW ORLEANS. La., March 10. Prior to the first race at Jefferson Park this afternoon, Thorndale, a strong candidate for Louisiana Derby honors, was brought out on the track and worked a mile with a heavy boy in the saddle. He showed to good advantage and was well under restraint all the way. He raced close to the inner rail, where the track was in fairly good condition. Following are the fractions: 25, 50, 1:02. 1:15, 1:42. The colt pulled up in splendid condition.
