1 Twenty Years Ago Today Chief Turf Events of March II, 1904 Racing at New Orleans, San Francisco, Los Angeles and Hot Springs. In eastern turf circles the report is again current that W. K. Yanderbilt, Jr., is to establish a racing stable in this country. He has for several years maintained a large stable in France, but has done little racing in the United States, although he is heavily interested in the Sheepshead Bay track. Belief that he is now to take up active interest here is based on the engag;ment of a well-known trainer as his subagent. Dave Holland, well known in sporting and turf circles, will be the new president of the Queens County Jcckey Club, so it was reported recently, to fill the vacancy caused by the death of Thomas Reilly.
