Fire near Havana Track, Daily Racing Form, 1924-03-22

- FIRE NEAR HAVANA TRACK HAVANA, Cuba, March 21. A fire in the Oriental Hotel, outside the Oriental Park race track, destroyed all telegraphic communication with the track and somewhat delayed the transmission of the results of Fridays racing. The match race between Marionette and Mountain Lassie, scheduled for this afternoon between the third and fourth races, was declared off because of the muddy condition of the track.
