GADS0N D. BRYAN STRICKEN Suffers Stroke of Paralysis at Mobile While on Way to Bowie. MOBILE, Ala., March 24. Gadson D. .Bryan, treasurer of the Jefferson Parish Fair Association, and part owner of the Bowie and Thorncliffe Park race tracks, suffered a stroke of paralysis upon his arrival late Saturday. Mr. Bryan, quarteied" at the Battle House, is reported as doing as well as could be expected by his physician. The stricken turfman came to Mobile, accompanied by Mrs. Bryan, for the purpose cf motoring to Bowie from this city. Upon his arrival he complained of feeling ill and was stricken a few minutes later. Mr. Bryan was at New Orleans the greater part of the winter, except for a brief journey to Port Arthur, Texas, on a hunting trip and later to visit Hot Springs. It was said by Dr. Leslie Taylor, attending Mr. Bryan, that the stricken turfman will be ten days or more recovering from the stroke. Mr. Bryans right side is affected. He is able to speak with difficulty, but rapidly regaining his physical powers.
