PRINCESS MYRTLE ran well and passed JACK FOUNTAIN midway of the stretch, but could not withstand the winners rush. F. G. CO K LEY ran a good race from a slew beginning. JACK FOUNTAIN showed a high order of speed in the pace-making, but tired badly in the final eighth. MALZAVENA was going fast at the end. BETTY ALDEN was never dangerous. SUMMER SIGH ran a smashing race from a slow beginning. TWELVE BELLS saved ground on all the turns and would have been second in another stride. ROMULUS carried his weight gamely and finished well.
