MAN 0 WARS OFFSPRINGS Expected to Make Their First Appearance on a Race Track at Havre de Grace. HAVRE DE GRACE. Md.. April 21- Unless the plans of Robert A. Smith miscarry Havre li Grace racing will be marked by the first appearance under silks of one or more two-year-olds sired by Man o* War. There are si sons and daughters of Americas superhorse of 1919 and 1920 in the stable of nineteen horses of various ages which Smith will race here through the April meeting of the Harford Agricultural and Breeders Association under the silks of Mrs. Walter M. .lefTords of Philadelphia. These youngsters w« re all bred by Mrs. j I Jeffords, who is now one of Americas leading women producers of thoroughbreds. Tin re are also seven sons and daughters of Golden Broom, French-bred son of Sweeper II.. for which Mrs Jeffords paid 5.u00 at auction in August. 191X. at Saratoga, and with which she won the Saratoga Special of 1919. Mrs Jeffords still owns Golden Broom. Man o War is the property of Satmn 1 1 Riddle, also of Philadelphia, her uncle and f.st.r fath-r. It is Smiths plan to have on.-of his Man o Wars and possibly MM of his Golden Brooms ready for the ,000 Aberdeen Stakes, adash of four and one-half furlongs for two-year-olds. The Man o Wars and the Golden Brooms of the Jeffords establishment are uniformly good looking and several of them can run like the wind. There are also Diogenes, winner of last years Hopeful at Saratoga, and Mrs. Jeffords Preakness and Kentucky Derby hope. Cockney, Rising Sun and Reprisal. Diogenes and Cockney will train for the ,000 Clnsa-P-ake Stake*.
