Ky., April 21.— In vetinerary circles here it is reported that as a result of contagious abortion at one of the larger breeding establishments here, more than thirty-live foals from thoroughbred mares i have been lost this season. The proprietor of this establishment now is in New York and , the report could nut be properly authenticated. There does not appear to be any | contagious abortion on any other of the farms, though a number of foals have died; during the season thus far from various [ causes. The percentage of loss, however, is! according to the veterinarians interviewed today, no heavier than usual.
