Ky., April 21.— In vetinerary circles here it is reported that as a result of contagious abortion at one of the larger breeding establishments here, more than thirty-live foals from thoroughbred mares i have been lost this season. The proprietor of this establishment now is in New York and , the report could nut be properly authenticated. There does not appear to be any | contagious abortion on any other of the farms, though a number of foals have died; during the season thus far from various [ causes. The percentage of loss, however, is! according to the veterinarians interviewed today, no heavier than usual. Both marts fleeted the recently imported English stallion Pandion. Three of W. li. .Millers Greenwich Stud t mare* at Beaumont Farm have foals, all « males by Golden Guinea, the dams being i Hurakana, lvabel and DeLuxe Annie. I
