GUARD WISE COUNSELLOR LOITSVILLE, Ky., April 26.— When the Chicago-owned Kentucky Derby candidate, Wise Counsellcr, was shipped today from Churchill Downs to Pimlico to start in the Preakness Stakes he had in addition to his usual attendants armed guards, a precaution taken by trainer John Ward after rumors of a plot to incapacitate the present favorite for the Golden Jubilee Derby. Wise Counsellor, it is said, has been insured for 00,000 and nothing will be left undone to protect the crack colt during his stay at Pimlico. He left here in grand condition after a final gallop of a mile and an eighth yesterday, in whicn he showed that he needed but little work to send him to the post fit for tne Preakness Stake1?. After the running of that rich Maryland prize he will be returned here to start in the Kentucky Derby.
