READY AT MAPLE HEIGHTS Manager Holman Reports Outlook Decidedly Favorable — Change Dates of Meeting. COLUMBUS. Ohio, April 26. — General manager S. N. Holman of Maple Heights Park returned today from Cleveland and reports that everything is in readiness for the opening of the meeting there May 17. He also stated that the four stakes, including the ,000 Derby, are filling well, entries to which close May 7. Horeb was claimed out of the last race Thursday by J. Barlow for 00, and the horse ran in the colors of his new owner Friday. Word reached here today of the death at New Orleans recently of J. M. "Jerry" Owen, 64, an old-time bookmaker. His remains were taken to Mobile, Ala., for interment Some changes in the dates for the following meetings were announced by general i manager Edward W. Hollman : Wheeling, I W. Va., June 4 to 14, inclusive; Youngstown, j Ohio. June IS to June 28. Glendenin Brothers of Gallipolis, Ohio, ! have purchased John Morrill from E. E. Major for .. ".00. W. L.
