Won easily; second and third driving. CAPTAIN COSTIGAN set a good pace from the start and. drawing away into an easy lead, won easing up. ROUND ROBIN was shuffled back in the first eighth, but worked his way up on the outside and wore SEA SAND down in the stretch and outtiuished him. The latter began a bit sh.wly and was much used in the first quaiter in getting to the leaders and tired badly in the last eighth. The saddle slipped on MARIE MAXIM and was dangling under her all of the last quarter and her rider finished riding hart back. ATTORNEY MUIR began flat-fooled, but closed a big gap after working his way up one the outside. WEST PllTSTON quit in the last eighth. LEAS1DE was ased up after going a half mile. HEELTAPS showed the most s|M-ed from the start and raced DIGIT into defeat, but ran out when entering the homestretch, then came again and finished gamely. MEIK TRY closed a gap and finished fast. The latter was saved until the last quarter and finished fast and wearing the winner down. BHE STREAK set a good pace, but was made too much use of and tired badly in the homestretch.
