Won easily; second and third driving. CAPTAIN COSTIGAN set a good pace from the start and. drawing away into an easy lead, won easing up. ROUND ROBIN was shuffled back in the first eighth, but worked his way up on the outside and wore SEA SAND down in the stretch and outtiuished him. The latter began a bit sh.wly and was much used in the first quaiter in getting to the leaders and tired badly in the last eighth. The saddle slipped on MARIE MAXIM and was dangling under her all of the last quarter and her rider finished riding hart back. HEELTAPS showed the most s|M-ed from the start and raced DIGIT into defeat, but ran out when entering the homestretch, then came again and finished gamely. MEIK TRY closed a gap and finished fast.
