Wallace has been the busiest and most successful of the jockeys during the .spring campaign. Since the opening of the Bowie meeting on April 3, Wallace has had 137 mounts and ridden 31 winners. G. Ellis, during the same period, accepted 79 mounts and was victorious with 20. W. .Smith has riddan 17 winners, C. Gross 17, J. Pevic 15, I* Lang and W. Martin each 14. These are the leaders. Earl Sande, Americas premier jockey, is back in the saddle and has ridden 10 winners out of twenty-seven. L. Fators score is 9 victories out of 44 mounts, while M. Garner has piloted I winners out of 30 mounts. The leader of the year, Ivan Parke, has only appeared at Lexington and only scored four times, so he is not included in the list, which is the record of the leaders from the opening at Bowie, April 3, to the close of Pimlieo, May 13.
