SHUFFLE ALONG was saved under restraint behind DIGIT until rounding into the homestretch, wheie he moved up swiftly and, easily taking the lead in the last eighth, won g ing away. NEW HAMPSHIRE saved ground while rounding the far turn ami when entering the homestretch and passed DIGIT in the stretch, but the winner always keU him safe. DIGIT showed extreme speed in Uie early pacemaking, but tired when challenged. HILLMAN wheeled when the barrier was sprung and was left. COURTEOUS was saved until in the last turn of the field and. responding well when called on, passed the tiring FEPI and drew away when ;oing to the last jump, but was a very tired horse at the finish. DUNKS GREEN jimped well and finished gamely, but Jacked early speed. HENRY DATTNER slipped in landing at several of the ji-mps and went down behind, but tan .1 good and game race and would probably have w n, but for the mishaps he encountered. PEPI led to the last half and tired badly. BRITISH WARM fell at the eleventh jump.
