NEW TRACKS AT WINNIPEG Two Recently Built Courses to Open June 14 — No Restrictions Against Horses From States. Two new race tracks have been built at Winnipeg in the far northwest, where the racing season will open on June 14. The first meeting will be held at River Park from June 14 to June 21, to be followed at Whitten Park, St. Boniface, from June 24 to July 1. These are the two newly built tracks and both are said to be modern and well appointed courses in every respect. The two meetings mentioned above form a part of the Northwest Canada Fair circuit, which afford horsemen who patronize that section opportunity to keep their horses busy all summer. False rumors have spread that cwing to the hoof and mouth disease in California and other western states no horses would be permitted to cross into Canada from the western states. Such is not the case, however. There are no restrictions against horses from the Inited States, except horses coming from California, Oregon and Idaho within sixty days of the opening of the Winnipeg meeting.
