MISS STAR set a fast pace all the way and won easing up. DRY MOON moved up resolutely after rounding the far turn, but came wide on the stretch turn and tired badly at the end. BEST? BELOVED saved ground on the turns, but tired in the deep going on the inside. SUN PAL finished fast on the outside. TEN EYCK had no mishaps. MONTIFFRINGILLA showed early speed. JIM COFFROITI raced close up from the start and jumped in slovenly fashion, but raced into the lead in the final turn of the field and held RUINE safe in the final drive. RUINE was saved under restraint to the last mile and came with a rush when ROCK BASS was beaten, but tired right at the end. ROCK BASS jumped poorly while leading for the first turn of the field and quit badly. CARABINIER stumbled over LINKS when the latter fell and ran out of the course at the fifteenth jump. SENOR moved up resolutely in the stretch and took the lead fifty years from the finish, but was tiring at the end. FINLAND set a good pace, but was much used in racing THUNDERING and THE SPA into defeat and tired. MARK OVER was outrun, but finished well. THUNDERING raced into the lead and tired. LEOPARDESS showed high speed from the start and, setting a fast pace to near the end. made a game finish. EAGLET saved ground on all the turns and ran a game race. PRINCE JAMES began slowly and moved up while rounding the last turn, but tired. OPPERMAN and REJECTION were always outrun. Overweight Leopardess, 1 pound. . . FIFTH RACE 1 Mile. Won easily; second and third driving. DONNELLY, suddenly improved and closer up than usual, passed the leaders on the last turn and, racing into the lead, won casing up. KING ONEILL II. made a game finish and outstayed LUX ETTA in the final drive. The latter passed HUON PINE and, holding the lead for a time, came again at the finish. TOP SERGEANT closed a big gap. NINA was taken up at the start, but finished fast after having closed a big gap. KILLASHANDRA finished fast. FLORENCE NIGHTINGALE tired.
