RONDELLE, well ridden and saving much ground on the turns, raced into the lead on the last turn and, under hard riding iu the stretch, just lasted to win. UPROAR began slowly and had to bo ridden wide, but came with a rush in the stretch and would have won in another stride. ESCAPADER. also began slowly and was far back in the early running, saved much ground on the turns and was goinpr fast at the end. MISS ROSKDALE showed the most speed from a fast beginning, but tired in the last twenty yards. MULDRAUGH tired after going a half mile. VOLT was far back all the way. Won easily; second and third driving. THE BADGER raced into a long lead from a fast start and easily won all the way. OLD SLIP ran a good race and finished gamely, but just lasted to hold second nlace. CAPTAIN MARTIN dropped far back in the early running, hut came with a rush through the fast eighth. MAMOUD ran well. EIGHT SIXTY finished gamely. ROMANY RYE closed a big gap. THE SMASHER tired badly. PLUS ULTRA, in closest pursuit from the start, wore COYNE down after reaching the stretch and won going away. COYNE showed high speed in pacemaking, but tired slightly in the stretch. FANTOCHE swerved repeatedly, but ran well and finished gamely. FAIR ORIENT was away poorlr and closed a big gap. FLOWER SHOP raced sluggishly and suffered from some interference in the stretch. Won easily; second and third driving. COLUMBIA, with a high display of speed, raced into the lead at once and, holding it gamely, set a fast pace and outstayed FLOWERS OF LOVE. The latter ran an excellent race after being much used at the post. PEGASUS came from far back in the stretch. BOB CAIIILL ran well but tired in the stretch. CRAYON was going fast at the end. IN MEMORIAM showed brief early speed, but tired as if not fit. THE ARAUCANIAN fell back soon after the start and will go better presently. CERTAIN and LATHROP were always far back.
